When children believe, they can achieve!

Like many people, I’d never heard of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). I became aware of it when I started exploring how I could pursue my passion to help young people with their emotional and mental health needs.

As soon as I began doing my research into NLP, I realised it could not only benefit my own life, it could offer huge benefits to other children and adults too.

NLP tools and techniques increase your self-awareness, helping you to create the right attitude and mindset to focus on the things that you want to achieve. NLP can be used throughout your entire life and not just in a crisis. Think of it as a practical tool kit for the mind!

I was saddened by survey data published by NHS Digital in 2021. It stated that “Rates of probable mental disorders have increased since 2017; in 6 to 16 year olds from 1 in 9 (11.6%) to 1 in 6 (17.4%)”  It also stated that “39.2% of 6 to 16 year olds had experienced deterioration in mental health since 2017.” Click here for further information on the study.

I reflected on how I wished I’d know about NLP when I was at school. It was at this point that I knew that I wanted to use NLP to support, encourage and motivate children and teens to live their best lives!

The rest, as they say, is history!

I completed my training and am now a certified NLP and NLP4Kids Practitioner. I work on a one-to-one basis with clients, offering appointments in Marlborough, Wiltshire or Newbury, Berkshire. I understand life can be busy and so I offer appointments over Zoom too.

Having previously volunteered for the charity Samaritans, I’m used to using my listening skills to help understand the nature of my clients issues.

I hold DBS certification, paediatric first aid and safeguarding training, plus I’m fully insured. Certificates can be provided on request.
